Cats eyes
It was a natural progression really, from the geek-burger glasses of the 50's (cue clear lensed and black square framed) to the cat eye shapes of the 60's. Who are we to stand in the way of progress!!?

That 70's show
With the enslaught of sheer fabrics gracing our trend pages and fashion reads it's reignited a passion for 70's sheer dresses. The hardest thing is finding where they are. HELP! For now we'll live vicariously through those who make us lust for such things in the first place.... the glossy glamours.

D.I.Y. Not?!
So we said we'd do some DIY stuff soon so here is the first installment of the first ever Wear + Tear craft day

We are loving the whole lace trend so much right now and I vaguely remembered inheriting a large piece of lace fabric a few years back. Sew we set to work to make a skirt (pun and rhyme in one sentence - heck yes!)
We made this lace maxi skirt with a simple elastic waistband and kept the hem raw for a subtle finish. We then draped the white top on a mannequin out of stretchy nylon mesh and knotted random strips and this was the result.

Will You Wilma?
The photos below show probably the coolest pair of shoes I have ever laid eyes on. And guess what? They're mine! Alllllllll mine!
I've always wanted to look like a punk rock Flinstone's character, haven't you?
The Senso Wilma shoe in pink cheetah is a limited edition diffusion-line bootie available on solestruck.com. The day after I bought these my size was already sold out!
I can't wait to wear these out on the town with leggings and lace or skinny jeans and a leather jacket.
They're insane, right?!
