D.I.Y. Not?!

So we said we'd do some DIY stuff soon so here is the first installment of the first ever Wear + Tear craft day
.
We are loving the whole lace trend so much right now and I vaguely remembered inheriting a large piece of lace fabric a few years back. Sew we set to work to make a skirt (pun and rhyme in one sentence - heck yes!)

We made this lace maxi skirt with a simple elastic waistband and kept the hem raw for a subtle finish. We then draped the white top on a mannequin out of stretchy nylon mesh and knotted random strips and this was the result.
