If The Shoe Fits...

Sometimes it's fun to make a list of all the things you'd do/buy if you won the lottery. If I won any large chunk of money, one thing's for sure - I'd buy a crap-load of shoes.
Here are just some of the shoes from the New Arrivals section of solestruck.com that I am drooling over. In no particular order....

Love,

Wear + Tear.

Black, Pointy and oh-so-sharp, the Swordfish by John Fluevog is literally to die for.

WXY - The Fighter. You'd definitely win.

Underground tie-dye creepers, for your inner punk mermaid.

The Hutton Boot by Friend Of Mine. Oversized animal pony fur with western metal detailing - great for any fashion rodeo.

235103 by Kenzo. They numbered it because there are no words to describe it. I can think of one - FIERCE!

Strassy lavender leather boot by Opening Ceremony is like the lovechild shoe of Vivienne Westwood and Twiggy.

JC Clarkson - I believe this boot is named after Jeremy Clarkson from Top Gear. I probably just made that up. But it would make a great driving shoe.

unif HELLRAISERS

I just received my first pair of shoes from unif via Solestruck.com

I've watched countless YouTube unboxings, read reviews, ummed and ahhed about my size and which colour to get. Finally I bit the bullet and got the neon pink ones.

Solestruck said I had been "solestruck" and I got free expressed FedEx shipping which was a bonus. That's now the third time that's happened. Love solestruck!

The hellraisers are a perfect snug fit in my usual US10. I was warned by reviews and by the complimentary Solestruck bandaids included in the box, that these shoes give you blisters first wear, so I wore socks. Wore them all day and night. No blisters. Perfectly comfortable.

I'm now even eyeing off the black with gold spikes unif website exclusive pair... Is that crazy? Probably...

They'd be replacing my Jeffrey Campbell elegant studs which even after having resoled, are so stretched and worn out I basically can't wear them...

Do you think I should get another pair? Would you wear these spiked slippers?

This shadow is clouding my judgement

They haven't sold out yet
They're just sitting there in an open tab of many
staring at me
calling out "buy me!"
They're quite strange
but I want them to be mine
No heel
Just a platform
Not soft
completely covered in sharp metal spikes
I want them to be mine
Shadow Stud is her name
her shadow is clouding my judgement
I cannot validate spending almost $300 on one pair of shoes
and yet it seems so purely logical
she will cut you
that's what everyone is saying
I want her to be mine

Love,

Wear + Tear.

p.s. Post #403 woo!

HAPPY NUDE YEAR!

So it's 2012...
I don't really have resolutions
or at least none that I'd make public knowledge for fear of jinxing myself,
but what I do know is that I plan to continue buying A LOT of awesome shoes

It's hard because I technically still live at home, and yet pretty much all my favourite clothes and shoes are
at Alex's place

I regularly dream about having some way of adequately (read: amazingly) displaying my shoes like the works of art they are, but how can I do this when it's not my place?

I shall solve this problem in 2012

Anyway...I thought I'd wait a little while before splurging again on some impractical JCs, but then I saw these:

The Night Walk has been a popular style from JC because of her heel-less allure, but now in NUDE, The Night Spike is ticking ALL OF THE GODDAMN BOXES!

Question is, can I justify paying $189 for one pair of impractical shoes?

You tell me.

Wear + Tear.
